Our Story
Hi, I’m Steph.
Together with my husband, Simon, we have established a small but special Christmas tree business close to the Richmond township.
I have always been a seed collector and before we built our home at Richmond, I had propagated over 1000 trees seedlings to plant on our property. My interest in seed collecting has continued over the years and decades later, after most of our children had left home, I began thinking about the possibility of a retirement project … a Christmas tree farm.
Long story short, I sourced some Christmas tree seed from Sustainable Timber Tasmania and away we went. Busily ripping planting lines with the old Fergie tractor, planting hundreds of trees over two years, bagging trees, watering and then pruning.
We have such a varied climate in Richmond from frost to drought to flash flooding through the property - you never know what each growing season is going to be like.
The trees however have flourished and are ready for you to take home, decorate and enjoy!
From little things, big things grow
